HI! :D It's been awhile :) Turned 23 a few days ago. 23 is a nice number, I like it haha. Someone told me this - "Sam, you'll be 30 before you know it". *shudder shudder* It is quite unimaginable... I was once a little child, oblivious of the world, carefree, enjoying life as it comes... now, I am a young adult, working, not as carefree, but yet, still enjoying life as it comes :)

I thank God for making my birthday so meaningful this year. Had a great time with everyone in the pictures above! Indeed, having a few close friends where we can share most things together are better than having a multitude of hi-bye friends. Thank you daddy & mummy, for giving birth to me, for pampering me, for loving me, and for caring about me. *sayang* :)

Most of all, thank You God, for being so faithful. How far have I come, from graduation to the unemployment phase to having casual part time jobs to having a full time job. Looking back at those times when I was down and struggling, there were many helping hands, many hugs, lots of words of encouragement, sincere hearts praying for me.. in these, I see God's faithfulness. Indeed, He did not leave me nor forsake me. He is with me through ups and downs. I am so glad. I'm finding work enjoyable and a blessing, being able to be exposed and to learn many new things that I wouldn't understand through theory, having a boss who is patient and willing to teach, and nice colleagues.. I've come from not knowing anything, to knowing something. I still make a lot of mistakes here and there, but I thank God because they bring me back to humility. He has let me see that life is a learning process. And through all these, I am being molded. I am not perfect, I will never be, and that is why You are the potter and I am the clay.  How beautiful is this picture - because the potter always mold his clay to what he sees as perfect and beautiful :)

Had a meaningful lunch + coffee this afternoon :) had a great time at tea after that with 11 & Lichuan jie's daughter >< so much drinking! I felt so full I thought I won't be able to eat dinner... but around 6.30pm, I felt hungry! :( cooked myself a bowl of seaweed noodle soup. Now... I'm eating Kellogg's Sultana Bran Buds. and I still feel hungry :(( lolll. mmm, I want to hunger for God's love & Word like how I hunger for food x)

Wow, didn't know facebook has this thing in the bar on the right side! Happened to see it when I clicked on "events" to view upcoming events. It translates roughly as "a new day, new hope. joy is found in the Lord, and the joy of the Lord is my strength. God is love, [Love] loves you!"

Our new housemate moved in last Saturday. As she is a nurse, she's quite particular with cleanliness/tidiness [lol], which is good in a way because I've been wanting to tidy up my bookshelf which have been piled with at least one layer of dust (not that she noticed though, she doesn't come to my area) with books and papers and whatnots on top of each other - pretty messy and uneven and I super dislike it but haven't brought myself to do it because, of course, watching series are better than shelf-keeping [haha]. Anyway, long story short, it's tidier and cleaner now and I am happy and satisfied - for awhile xD Pending books were re-stacked and books that were read are in the box! And I realised, I have A LOT of books pending >< what am I doing, jumping from one book to the other and the other and the other... now I need to put them all aside and start reading that one dreaded "new" book - CPA. haha. Oh well, I'm hoping for the best :) I thank God for all His blessings in my life, a lot of things to be grateful about and some can't be put into words. Lord I give You my heart - I know You can see what's in there :)

Amen! Thank God for today's sermon, for His protection on the road, and for a good company in the car - someone who can calm me down when I'm stressed on the road. Thank God for the lovely late lunch at Preston with Angel, 11, and Daniel :)

How irregular I am these days!

So glad to be at home since around 3pm today :) I need the relaxation... haha... mmm, watched series, chatted/still chatting with Bel, ate Sara Lee cheese cake and "kam", cooked for lunch boxes. Now, masterchef! xD though I must say, I don't glue my eyes on it whenever it's on anymore as compared to last season's (proof is, I'm blogging away over here while the tv is on. I'm not even watching, just listening lol). Anyway, tonight's kinda interesting... they are cooking for the Dalai Lama. Weird. Why don't they cook for a church... why don't... they cook... for me! hehe

Saturday, I thoroughly enjoyed Manifest Night Rally yesterday. Good testimony, good sermon (though I could hardly make out what the interpreter was trying to say some of the times lol), awesome praise & worship.. and I love the presence of God :) And having Eleven over for the night, wraps up an awesome night, teehee.

Friday night, dinner with Mich & Harry and frozen yogurt after! We were actually planning to watch Cars 2, but unfortunately, there was none showing in Melbourne Central! It was a hugeee disappointment to me :( but that's ok, I enjoyed my night with the lovely companies :)

So yes, I thank God for my awesome weekend!

Day # 323

Do not think about them, think about God.

The past had been good, and I thank the Lord. How much have I grown, is another question. It was good looking back at the past (ie. 2008 BOL 7th anniversary), brought back lots of sweet memories :) sometimes even wishing I could bring that past into our today. So much have changed, including relationships... some have been strengthen, some... weakened. How are we to mend it? I believe, not by our might but by God's. "Everything starts in the heart". May our next study of the book "The Relationship Principles of Jesus" teach us and guide us to Love God with all our hearts and love our neighbour as ourselves (Matt 22:37-39).

Drove to and back from a client's place at caufield today. Thankfully, i was not late. Also thank God for protection and smooth journey... almost went the wrong way a couple of times but managed to squeeezzzz in to the right lane each time lol... driving is pretty stressful, but it is good in the sense that i can arrive at a place quicker compared to taking the public transport, teehee.

My weekend (which also includes Friday night), has been fantabulous! Friday night: Had dinner and watched Bridesmaids with Mich. Saturday: Had buffet lunch @ Kitchen Workshop and walked around the city (mainly flinders and yarra river) with aunt, light dinner and watched X-Man with Sab, Aileen and Nudge. Sunday: Church, lunch with Sab, grocery, cooked for our lunch boxes for the next few days, and now, relaxing :) I thank God for such a simple, yet eventful weekend!

When doors look closed all around you, when your surroundings look limited, when you feel like you’re in chains, remember, God is still at work in your life. Like Paul, keep your hopes up. Yep. I thank God for the short and sweet 2 weeks away from Melbourne :) It was the most relaxing and stress-less 2 weeks holiday! Surprisingly slept a lot, but I like it xD Ate lots of yummy stuffs and it is a wonder that so far no one has told me I've put on weight! hehehe... Really thank God for the time that I'm able to spend with my parents, grandmothers, relatives, and friends. Also, thank God I'm able to adjust and adapt to the weather here in Melbourne, and also start working again. lol All in all, I am very grateful for all the blessings that God has showered upon my life :)

I know right. I abandoned a blog that I'm supposed to update everyday! I can't believe it!.. but I did. So here I am. Yup, exam is over!! Thank God for pulling me through this past whole week! It was really a struggle to sit in the library trying to finish the last few modules in 2 days + doing the assessment tests for 13 modules during the weekend! I don't know how many times I almost posted on fb about how torturous and agonizing it was. But, I didn't. because God kept reminding me that His strength and power is greater than all these. because His incomparably great power is for me who believe. That power is the working of His mighty strength! Eph 1:19. God is great!

Today I thank God for the awesome time spent with Sab Ong, my best friend/neighbour/sister since young :) Haven't met her for a long time! It is very good and encouraging to see her growing stronger and stronger in the Lord. Love her! :)

I am listening to the draft of my song that will be recorded in our 1st CD for our church's 10th anniversary. It is so awesome without my voice in it! haha i wonder how it'll be like when my voice is in. I hope I won't spoil it >< I am so amazed at how touched I felt while listening to it! mm yup, thank You Lord for this song :) I am also very proud of the guys at church for producing such nice music. You may think it's not perfect, but to me it is! :)

I feel so blessed today. So blessed to be a female, that is. haha so I told someone "it is so cold" and that person went to buy me a heater from bunnings to use while I'm at that office... i don't know what to feel.. happy, touched, thankful, blessed, but also paiseh... but all in all, very very grateful for their consideration - for not smoking in the office room the whole time I was there. Also thank God for the lift home today! :)

Amen to that! I'm going through a period of highs and lows with my studies. One moment I'm highly motivated, next you'll see me doing anything but study, like now. Which, is not very good as exam is in less than a month away! To top that off, I have approximately 7 or 8 modules left to study... by which, in the natural way, seems impossible to complete. But my God is an all-powerful God, a God who sees way beyond the natural. So i believe. I can do this! For when God puts His "super" on my "natural", anything is possible! - Joel Osteen.

Was given the middle finger by some male driver on the road this afternoon and felt pretty angry at first. Was going to give it back to him but it came to me that I am God's child, and He wouldn't be pleased with it, and that it wouldn't be something that will glorify His name. And then I felt shattered. -_- I know this kind of thing do happen often on the road but it is not something that I would like to get used to just because it happened often enough. Like, we don't just get used to shootings if it happened often enough right... Anyway, I thank God for a good day overall, and for His never ceasing protection and blessings in my life! :)

What I wanted to do was sleep, but instead I find myself doing the laundry and vacuuming the bedroom floor -_- and online, of course.

Got back from cell group about 30mins ago. My first time driving home alone from lower heidelberg (because the rest went for comedy festival)! Felt... weird. But I thank God I arrived home safe and sound :) Cell group was fun! I really really thank God for this study we're currently doing (the book of Mark). Felt like it's been awhile since we've really sat down to talk/discuss/study the Word of God. Lots of eye-opening areas throughout, and I thought it was really encouraging to see everyone yearning to know more about Him. So yea, I thank God for this group and I pray that we will continue to grow together in Christ, learn from one another, and encourage one another through ups and downs! :)

Today at church was awesome! ;) headed to the easter camp site after with a few of the camp committees and I totally love that place! I wish I can sleep in thattt room haha but anywhere's fine actually. not like I'll be staying in the room the whole day! can't wait for easter camp already! :D hehe anyway, thank God for the awesome time with the committees today :)

Sorry I stopped since last Sunday. I had a lot to thank God for throughout the week but the internet was so slow and I was quite tired from everything that I couldn't be bother coming into blogger. hehe so I'll try to recap today backwards til Monday in this post k :)

Today I managed to discipline myself and get my butt "glued" to the chair and finished (finally) module 3 of CPA in the morning. Then went to Laksa King with sis, JemG & his dad (we bumped into them) for lunch! Grocery shopped for sushi night, online etc and went to Nudge's place for our sushi social night! It was lots of fun!! Love it! So much laughter! hahaha :) I thank God for an awesome time together as a group! :)

Yesterday (Friday), I caught up with Cassie. Had dinner and mocha after! love spending time with her! :) After that, I continued on with drinks with my usual gang (mich, es, eve, harry). Lots of laughter again haha but I had stomachache again lol after the 5th time going to the loo, I decided to take poh chai pills. It really helps :D anyway, I managed to study as well so it was good xD

I think today and yesterday pretty much summed up my whole week haha i can't remember what happened earlier than yesterday besides work and public transport. and of course, the book I'm reading now - Letters to God. It is an awesome book so worth reading. Brought me to tears and laughter on the tram. hahaha I thank God I also managed to finally go to the immigration to get my passport labelled :)

So yup, pretty much it!

Day # 299

:) God sees and He knows so He sends because He cares. A few hours ago I was thinking, "no one cares enough to message me or give me a call" because each time I checked my phone, I don't see any new messages or missed calls. I can even leave my phone at home and go out for the whole day, and come back to... no messages nor missed calls.

Just a few minutes ago, I received a call from beloved friend 11 :) And had a good chat haha. I told her about the "no one cares enough to message" thinking to her and she was like, "why don't you be the one who messages or calls?" So like, yeah. Good one. I still need to brush up on this area of my life.

Anyway, I thank God for this lesson learned for today, and also thank God for showing me that I still have friends who care about me. Most importantly, He cares. :)

Day # 298 (19/03/11 Saturday)

Had a pretty relaxing morning, with sien-ness starting to build up in the afternoon due to CPA. haha anticipated Aileen's arrival to go to city cell together at Uncle Andrew's again. I do believe it was a good time spent together as a group although there were only four of us (Ps J came later.. so ok five in total lol)! Love the discussions and the games after. :) I thank God for His blessings and for being with us throughout! I also love Mochi! ^^

Combining the few days as the internet has been and still is, very slow. So yes, I thank God for the rest on Monday, and for coffee for the next few days til today to keep me awake in the morning at work. haha also, I thank God I managed to move on to the next module in CPA, though, still far behind @_@. How am I gonna finish the whole book in less than 2 months?? That, will be a question left hanging until my exam is over. xD

I thank God I brought my umbrella with me. It was raining when I left the office and I had the opportunity to share my umbrella with a total stranger lady at the tram stop :) so we started talking. She's malaysian too! and her name is Rachel Tan! and we had some stuffs in common, like, sarawak laksa! lol... and she's been to Labuan, yay! xD she's from Muar, btw. Soooo yes, I thank God for a good companion to talk to on the tram! Also, had a great night at the Young Adults! so much laughter! and good food! :)

I am pretty surprised that I managed to last til after work today without a single cup of coffee! I was going to buy one this morning before going in to work but realised I didn't have enough cash on me. Then I thought of getting one during lunch but still didn't have enough cash. By the time I had enough cash, it was almost 4pm. So... yeah. ><

Anyway. I was trying to put yesterday's sermon into practice by not worrying about unnecessary stuffs... I would say it went moderately well. To top that up, I felt pretty much relieved after today - a huge rock being lifted off my shoulders, and I thank God for that :)

I really really thank God for today's sermon. Totally sipped deep down into my heart. Felt quite tired when I arrived this morning and was not really pleased when I found out that the cable to connect our pc and projector was missing. However, worship and word filled my heart with joy again :) So many little phrases touched my heart today and I couldn't help but tear :') Anyway, today's sermon was about living today to the fullest. "Do what we need to do today, say what we need to say today, read what we need to read today - not wait until tomorrow." It sounded much nicer in mandarin. hehehe anyway, here are some verses that encouraged me:

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? - Matt 6:27

It was an eventful day from 9.30am - 2am (well, sort of):

Woke up.

Did facial.

Showered.

Cleaned the sink area in the bathroom.

Ate brunch.

Watched a quarter of an episode.

Killed a spider.

Picked sis up from work.

Continued another quarter of that one episode with onion pie & bbt.

Cleaned bathroom, toilet, and laundry area's floor.

Cleaned kitchen floor.

Went present shopping with Es & Eve.

Mich's BBQ birthday dinner at verve.

City cell bible study + fellowship.

Sent new member home.

Went back to verve for candle blowing session + chats.

Home.

Cleaned table and moved furnitures etc back to their original place (things were moved to make space for cell).

Showered.

Sleep.

It was good. Except for the 2am sleep. and I did not mention that I studied.. but i did study.... one paragraph :S not good. but but, I wanna thank God for all of the above! :)

So like someone must have prayed for me! The tram I was on along St Kilda Road was not that packed today! lol thank God! :)

The tram along St Kilda Rd had been fully packed - and I mean really packed, for the past 2 days. Actually, not just for the past 2 days... it has always been packed, just occasionally less packed. Anyway, I thank God i managed to arrive at my destination everyday!

On another note, 被人放飞机两次 in less than a week! One on Sunday and one today -_- 真的好大胆！lol... anyway, had dinner with sis at Chilli Padi just now and bumped into Uncle Robert & aunty Li Nyuk! lol...

Tired. die. me.

Lunch at 3pm and left the office at 8pm. Trammed to Vic Mart and switched tram from there, but because my tram was not due to arrive anytime soon, I decided to take the alternative route home (ie. take tram 59 to stop 19 and walk down to stop 16, turn right, walk down one block, and climb up the stairs - in high heels). lol well done! *pats self on the back* xD

So yeah, I thank God for extra strength today!

I had the first real and long chat with my hsemate today! Since the day she moved in a few weeks ago, we were only giving each other the mere "hi" greeting. Don't get me wrong, we don't dislike each other, just that I've been really busy and haven't been seeing her around a lot. lol all thanks to the guitar! haha i was playing the guitar when she came home, and then we started talking... so i think we've established a friendship here, and i would like to see how this friendship is going to grow as the days pass. hehe so yeah, I thank God for a new friend/hsemate today! :)

Today was totally full on, with non-stop phone calls from a customer. I think she called me at least 20 times. or so I think. lol my kepala pun pening.. tapi tak ape la, Tuhan di sisi ku... there's no greater joy than that :) thank God for strength!

Today I thank God that I was able to catch up with a few people at church, and also thank God for aunty Bea! made my day by saying that I'm a good girl and also her favourite girl! ^^

Ah~ Today I thank God for the existence of chocolate~ lol, I probably haven't been eating lots of chocolates lately... Cailler Chocolate of Switzerland from Esther made my night! So what if it's after 9.30pm...

Woke up at 3am with a tummy ache. It hurt like crazy, I thought I'd need to be sent to the hospital cuz I was feeling dizzy too, so I woke Sab up (but of course, I didn't say I need to go to the hospital). hehe. Instead, I asked her to get me some poh chai pills. I thank God for awesome poh chai pills. I went to the toilet one last time and was able to sleep through til it was time to wake up today :)

Day # 272 (19/02/11 Saturday)

Dinner @ Oriental Spoon + dessert @ Passionflower with Mich, Es, Joan, and Harry! Dinner was yummy & spicy, dessert was ok. This is my first time not finishing my ice cream, so you can imagine how full I was from dinner/how big the portion was. Then headed back to Es's and played a round of monopoly cards, with Ollie interrupting us again and again by sitting and trotting on our cards haha :) awesome time with friends, I thank God for them!

Went for the first care group meeting at U. Chang's. It was good, and very different. Never knew I could sit there, having bible study + discussions with all the adults, and still feel... like I belong. Accepted, included, loved. :) I like their sense of humour too! haha mm yeah, thank God for this family I have here in Melbourne :)

Work as usual. Dinner with 11 ^^ Feels so good to be able to finally have a "real" one-to-one catch up with this girl! Kinda missed her friendship for the past few months >< I thank God for 11! :) Also, received the best news by far! :D My PR application has been approved! Thank God! Totally made my day! :) Apart from that, did some audit at a legal firm today! :)

Australia Day. Venus Bay. Pipies. Patience is a virtue. Perseverance is satisfying. Managed to catch lots of pipes! Oh the excitement and accomplishment! I did it continuously for 6hours! So burned now. lol I had a great time with the friends! :) Thank God for all the laughter!

Did the unusual today. Drank peppermint tea and ate raw tuna sushi with wasabi. We surely do not know what we are capable of when we stay in our comfort zone ;) So peppermint tea tasted good, raw tuna wasn't too bad, and wasabi was ok. and to think I've always avoided them for approximately 22 years of my life! lol. anyway, I thank God tomorrow's public holiday!! Yeeehaaa!

A good start to my morning by helping a grandma get her grocery trolley down from the tram. Her reply, "thanks girl" sipped right through deep down in my heart :) On the way home, helped some ladies pull the "string" (don't know what it's called lol) to notify the tram driver to stop. Their reply, "thanks darl" received! It is a joy to be able to help people although it is a simple thing. My day went pretty well today, and I thank God for that! Baked Tuna Mornay so that I can bring it to work for lunch tomorrow! Hope it tastes good! hehe :)

I didn't drink coffee today! What an achievement! Lol. and, i just realised today, that there were more stuffs to enter for that same client i have been working on for the past 3days! D: which, on the positive side, would help me A LOT when it's time to enter the amounts for tax return! Yay, thank God!

'twas an awesome day at work at the client's place today! made some new friends over lunch. We are a table of Australian, American, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, and Malaysian. Super multi cultural. lol love my new american colleague at my client's place! So good to be able to hangout with people around my age group for once! haha everything went pretty well today! Praise God! :)

Day # 234

Totally not my day!

1. There were so many people catching the same tram to work this morning I was almost late
2. It was raining and I didn't bring my umbrella
3. I missed all the trams going back home
4. Having a slight headache for walking under the rain

But before I go on complaining, let's look at what caused the above.

1. I stopped by Flinders to buy coffee
2. I didn't want to carry extra weight
3. I was slow
4. I didn't bring my umbrella

So like, it was all my fault. lol now let's see the good side from all of the above.

1. I had yummy coffee
2. My bag wasn't too heavy
3. I was relaxed, managed to sit down and rest and think for a bit
4. It was only drizzling, I did not get drenched or whatsoever

Yep. Time to bring out the grateful heart :) So thankful to God.

On another note, work. So much information to grasp, so little memory space in my head. but I thank God for so much to learn! :)

Managed to reach church a little earlier today to help set up the sound system for chinese church! It was awesome cuz I remembered how to do it mostly. lol Thanks be to God. Awesome time at lunch with Joyo and Henry and then gelati after :)

So like the workloads didn't last me for the next couple of days (refer to previous post). I finished everything today! and managed to do some extras too lol. Had gyu tan don for dinner while watching an episode of twilight investigation! :) and found out that my phone has an inner camera! camwhoring life made easier! lol but the quality is not as good as using the main camera. Oh well. I thank God for a book to read while travelling today! ^^

1st day of work after new year today! Towards the end, my boss gave me loads of work to do for the next couple of days lol my mata terbeliak. but yea, i feel so excited and am looking forward to work for the next few days because I know I have something to do! so much better than getting bored for not having anything to do haha and so I thank God ^^
